This popular wildlife sanctuary boasts numerous self-guided trails. You will walk through dunes, marshlands, woodlands and see an array of diverse ecology. This is also the perfect spot for bird lovers with so many different types inhabiting the area. They offer a special scavenger hunt style card for kids and also have a cool little indoor learning center and gift shop to be explored.

Fort Hill (Eastham)

Nickerson State Park (Brewster)

This scenic state park is truly enchanting with glacial kettle ponds set among fantastical pine trees. There is a perfect 1.7-mile Little Cliff Pond loop that is perfect for a family hike. In the warmer months you can also take a swim in the freshwater Cliff Pond swimming hole.

Beebe Woods (Falmouth)

This cool spot has everything from old carriage roads to explore to a rope swing that will drop you into a pond in the woods. Can it get any better? You bet. Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary (Barnstable)
